The first ever flower on my only plant of this species, raised from seed in 1993. Because of its reputation for rotting (at least in UK collections), I grafted it onto a seedling of one of my Pachypodium succulentum X bispinosum hybrids. I hope that I can get seed from this P. brevicaule, but it will either have to self, or else accept pollen from the unlikely succulentum/bispinosum plants.
