Leuchtenbergia principis

Leuchtenbergia principis Leuchtenbergia principis
Date: 1996 November 7
Location: San Luis Potosí

This was a fascinating area, apart from the difficulty of walking through dense prickly Hechtia. As well as this small, clustering form of Leuchtenbergia, there were also Turbinicarpus jauernigii, Ferocactus pilosus, Astrophytum myriostigma, and Fouquieria splendens.

Here is a picture of a flowering plant in cultivation.
